I don't know if it's intended or a bug, but does anyone know about quarries only producing stone after running a couple days? A quarry that used to produce hqm ore, sulfur ore, stone, and metal ore, now only produces stone. I don't know if they have a resource limit or if the map isn't regenerating the same way after a restart, but I've searched around and can't find anything on it.
There was a new addition to the servers and the way resources are structured on the maps making it so that all nodes are rearranged (which is what you experienced). Before, each map seed had a coorisponding resource layout; to exploit this, people could set up a server with the same map and find were all of the best and important nodes are as admins. They would then head back to another server with the same map seed and in those resoure rich areas. Now this is something called the server.salt, which is where server admins can have a random resource layout unrelated to the map seed.

Yeah but there was a forced wipe in between. So that can't be it.
The problem is must likely this:
When you place your Quarry just a tiny bit on edge of your HQM-Source underground and your server restarts, your Quarry checks again what's there to get. Maybe right then it shifted for a millimeter and doesn't get the HQM anymore.

This does make sense, but is salt randomly generated on restart if not explicitly declared in config/batch? I just checked and mine returned "0". I don't want to make quarries useless by having to restart the server. I guess I could try forcing the salt if it is always just random. Kind of a big deal though. Thanks for the tip
