I am playing since early summer when the game was on the website and now I dont enjoy the game anymore and heres why: - The gun cost more metal. The first patch that increased the metal needed for M4 wasent a bad idea. Since its the strongest gun it is normal that people risk more when they carry one but then you guys increase the M4 again + pistol, shotgun, mp5 ... The pistol now takes twice as before. I don't see any reason to do this, people who use pistol are new player, it was easy to build a 9mm pistol that takes only 75 metal so you could start fighting back while trying to make your own house. Now it just takes more time in game without getting raided or killed by random people before you can start fghting back people with gun. - Lockpick, is it really needed that people that hae more time play on a server and are already started to have another huge advantage against new player. Now full kevlar group wont be afraid to kill every naked man cause they know even if they own a hidden gun like a shotgun and get kill by them, their friend will just get the loot before the 5min or the guy will just run back with full armor of kevlar ( for example). - The increase of gunpower from 1 sulfur 1 charcoal to 2 of each. Even if its called a survival game I dont think people are having fun hitting tree or killing wolf. The fun is from pvp, so why making once again new people having low ammount of bullet, making them more worried about shooting over fully loaded guy who just played longer and can shoot randomly for fun. Also it increase the cost of grenade and c4, just saying havent seen any1 using nade since 2 update, when they nerfed the aoe range, the dmg and increased the cost. - Metal windows bars, ok this is actually cool and have a prety nice ideas, yet it makes base almost unraidable. People now usually wait for them to log offline before raiding. Where is the fun of raiding anymore. Making stair to get on top to reach a window was great ( or using small box on wall to reach the top( gotta be playing for long time to know this glitch :) )). - Bye zombie heres comes the red wolf/bear. I remember when I started on server and could fight zombie with rock making me able to find food and pickaxe, giving me a small avantage over animal and gathering ressource. Now when your naked you can only take down maybe 1 wolf, putting you down to 10hp and had to use 1 or 2 bandage. Once again lets make it harder for people who just started or playing solo. But there is also good thing about the change. - Reducing the pillar and ceiling from 2 plank. - Making new fun and nice gun. - Removing most of hacker valley ressource. - Making people unable to build in rads zone. - Great work on fixing all the bug and glitch ( until the pillar/barricade glitch that allow you to get on top of people house). - The new bed and sleeping bag change. After all this I dont want to play anymore, the weigth of the non enjoyable thing is lifting more then the one that enjoy me. ( The locked backpack is clearly the worst change ive seen). Sorry for my bad enlgish and thanks for taking time to read me.
They do seem to be heading down the road that leads to a treadmill game. But hey I still have faith, if the game becomes a time sync where I spend more time grinding that fun things like building or PVP I can say I already got my dollars worth and move on. On the other hand if it changes and I like it more it's like getting multiple games in one. But reading the board it seems like some people want a time sync treadmill game.
I guess they are at the point where they are changing their placeholders.
They're not making a 'treadmill' game. They're making a game where you realistically reach certain points in a survival situation before you reach others. The majority want a game that makes sense in a survival game. If you came for the PvP, there are plenty of those games out there. If you came for the buidling, play minecraft. But you're right about one thing, even if it's just an alpha, this game was well worth the $20, and whether it gets better or worse it was money well spent. I have high hopes for this game, and I look forward to the upcoming content.
If the make the hill too long and too steep, a new player will never be able to get established. I like how it's now that even if you have a gun, it's possible a guy with a stone can kill you if you can't shoot it well. I say this as someone who has been killed in that situation but never have pulled it off myself. You should be able to defend yourself without spending 3 weeks killing NPC's.

Shout out to Tatalandi for rating everyone in the thread dumb.
But there is also good thing about the change. - Removing most of hacker valley ressource.
I always felt they needed resources spread all over the map. How is limiting resources to hotspots good for the game? It just makes players build around specific sections to hoard the spawns, and new players have to scrape by desperately trying to find some rock. I just don't understand this logic.
