I want to play Rust but before I purchase it without being able to get a refund I would like to know if Rust is able to run using the free Radeon graphics drivers on GNU/Linux. I'm using Arch Linux and have the latest stable mesa driver installed, Mesa 10.0.2 and my graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD5770. Mesa support would make sense because it's the default driver for most if not all AMD/ATI GPUs on GNU/Linux but since the game is still "in very early development" I would understand if it doesn't, yet. The proprietary Catalyst/fglrx driver is very unstable and to me it's not worth switching to be able to play the game.
Thank you
Edit 1: forum caught me faking my user agent :v:
Edit 2: some folks on reddit told me it runs so I'll be purchasing it
Edit 3: performance is alright, some bugs like voice chat not working that I've been reporting in the subforum
