• My ideas for Rust

Hey people, I know this forum is probably getting flooded with these, but I hope some of the mods can at least view this. I have a couple of ideas I have thought up over the course of playing the game and I think they might add some cool features! 1. Rope (climbing rope)- I saw rope was posted as an idea to tie someone up, and that's an awesome idea!! I think they could possibly use rope for this as well, climbing! Maybe in the future they can make higher mountains / plateaus and making climbing rope to get up there could be really cool. Alternatively it could help you raid large structures people have made. Obviously a lot of testing would go into this, and probably a lot of angry people from falls and what not but it would make another high stakes venture in the game. 2. Weapon Harnesses- As of right now I have noticed because there is no weight system(something I personally would rather not see as it would make gathering wood/ore a pain) I find myself being able to carry as many guns as I want, as well as having them in the hotbar. I did get inspiration from this from "The Last of Us" (A fantastic game!!) and I think it would be a beneficial feature! You start out only being able to make low harnesses - I.e. Single pistol/Double pistol maybe a single large gun, and have to find an research the rest. Only having limited harness slots would make it so you had to choose what weapons you want to carry with you. Also I think the harness slots would be their own hotbar. This could also bring relevance to pistols in the later game a little more, say you run out of ammo of your shotgun, so you have a small harness on with a fully loaded pistol and it would be quicker to switch to that in certain situations than reloading the shotty. 3. More diverse bag system- Honestly this would be amazing, I don't know how the Dayz standalones bags work but I played the mod, and being able to find a larger pack was an amazing feeling. Also if you added ammo pouches alone, crafted thigh and such pouches that are specifically for quicker reloading of harnessed weapons. I have more plans but I don't want to overload anyone with them! Honestly I think overall these changes would add to a more hardcore atmosphere, more realistic as well. I don't know if that is exactly what the team is aiming for but I would love to see rust become a gritty and tough realistic world where everyone looks different. Having the harnesses and ropes and new bags and pouches would all help firefights as well, so you aren't yelling on vent "WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?!" When staring down a barrel of a bolt action aimed at 6 guys in full thermal. I feel these changes would really help the game, obviously made into how the dev's want them because this is not my game, but I hope they look into it! Oh hey thanks for the help! I'm sorry I didn't read through the threads too far I kinda just jumped on and thought I would share some of my thoughts. Kinda crazy how it's impossible for anyone else to come up with the same ideas as others. I do appreciate the constructive criticism though!
