For those dark nights, my idea is very simple.
Please make it possible to be able to mount a torch on a wall or be able craft a wall light you can place on a wall.
So you can have light in your house, without having to run around with a torch or flashlight all the time.
It should work light like a campfire with a use option, to turn it on and off.
Maybe different kinds, with simple torch wall lights and fancy oil lamps.
I really hope you guys will implement this.

If u are having issue finding ur own home, u can place a fire inside ur house, I assure u it'll be very visible at night time.

About the "Raid here", so they know i'm at home. who cares? Let them come.
But then again, maybe you get raided even faster when they know you're NOT at home ;)
When you run around in the field with a flashlight or a torch you're a big walking disco as well and can get robbed too, so who give a F.
Anyway, It's about beeing able to see inside your house, without placing campfires or furnaces all over the floor.
I don't have a problem finding my house. If I was afraid I would get raided when I have a light on in my house then why would I place a campfire outside my house for everyone to find, it makes no sense.
Sometimes, when there are a lot of houses arround, bandits tends to go after those which have seen recently activity, becuse that would mean there is a higher chance to find loot, meanwhile those little houses that seems unactive may just never see a C4.
But that's my opinion, after all playing on a PvE server doesn't give me a real point of view of this game's aspect :/.
Unfortunately, light = lure raider. Regardless it's a decent base or crack shelter.
Want to leave your furnace burning ore while you away or offline? Raider coming in 10 minutes.
But still, I do agree we will need more house customizing items/options in the future that are purely cosmetic. Whatever decorative, flowers, etc...
If you build your house in a proper way then there is no fear for raiders, I would love to see people bring 60 C4 to be able to get to the top of a well build house. Actually I had that couple of times and half way they gave up. And even if they do, so what I don't care for the stuff, then I have a good reason to start over :) (or else it gets boring)
So I don't care about beeing a target, because of a light beeing on.
Next to that, your furnace also gives of light, so thats a lure as well.
And lot of people tend to hide their stuff in crack shelters, because most people walk past em.
ON TOPIC: I really would like to have wall-lights (use at own risk ofcourse;) ) and more house customisation things like the previous poster (good one)
