• Next patch should remove durability

It doesn't add to the gameplay at all, its just an annoyance while gathering and hunting. Not sure what the reasoning behind it was, but nobody is going to think "Nah i wont shoot that guy cause it will reduce my durability". Because not shooting that guy makes you lose everything. While gathering i've just reverted to using only stone hatchets and then chucking them when they break. Repairing costs too much and reduces the durability so its better to just spend resources to build a new gun than repair it. The last couple of patches have been a disappointment. To me this game is about building, defending your buildings, and raiding others buildings. So work with that and add more weapons, weapon attachments, traps, and more building options. With the way the patches are going the next patch will allow us to add flower pots to our houses, and maybe some picture frames. Oh and lets count how many posts after this say "Its Alpha". Duh, that's why i'm bitching, the game is going the wrong direction (User was banned for this post ("search before you post." - postal))

That one sentence entirely ruined your whole post (even though I disagree with it anyways). Go troll somewhere else.
This game is supposibly about realism, at least until dinosaurs get added (if they do), and the realistic part of it is that shit breaks, we don't have the tools to maintain our guns and half of our guns are made out of scraps. Durability is a good thing just needs to be toned down a bit, which a server admin can do manually. Armor is also logical considering what we make them out of and is going to break/become useless after dampening a few blows...But I personally am just sitting here waiting to see if Garry takes this game to a good place or a bad place, so far nothing has bothered me that he has done except "asking" the community how to build his game.
If you dont like you can play call of duty instead
I dont even bother with a repair bench...I just craft another item. It's cheaper and you dont have to go back to your base every freakin single time to repair.
Orrrr. You stop shooting every single man you spot. HEYO. Most durability damage avoided!
the game is going the wrong direction
You feeling that you're entitled to a certain style of gameplay /= the game is going the wrong direction.

That is my observation on those that complain about this update. They will probably fix the durability and the cost to repair soon. But besides that, this just puts more emphasis on resource management. Now having a stone hatchet that never breaks and you can go out for a whole day smashing it against piles of wood and stone and not having it be damaged in the least, that makes the game too easy, easier than minecraft I should say. Because all you have to worry about is not dying and losing your tool in rust, now you have to worry about how much you use it, just like in minecraft. Now i hate referencing minecraft to this game because even though they are somewhat in the same category, rust is going the extra step.
Don't like the game or where it's going? then don't play. But only an idiot thought that a survival game wouldn't have durability in it
