First you decide to remove half blocks stairs and only 1 cupboard in base. then you make a retarded change for pillars which make me use more resources because of stability issues.
Then you added this shitty door delay that takes 10 seconds to close. Then you made High stone walls 1500 stones instead of 500. Then you removed pumpjacks from the game. (will come back eventually)
And now you removed snow biomes (which was the place to be for massive amount of stone) But thats not the case anymore because literally nothing spawns up north.
Are you trying to piss people off or? Please explain
I hope they have removed the biome to reduce RAM usage.
Or atleast that would make sense, having less biomes on a map means having less assets needed, therefore better performance.
Even if they didn't mean that, maybe two-biome maps should be investigated, or even single-biome maps. They would make sense for smaller maps, and if performance would be better on those, why not?
Maybe they're trying to make actual climate changes.

They didn't reduce the amount of biomes, they replaced snow with a 'dead' biome
Snow was replaced with what actually looks more open and barren tundra. Tundra ≠constant snow. So in terms of realism, this actually makes more sense. You'd never get 3 different biomes in the span of a few kilometers.
That said, the advantages and difficulties of being in the snow biome are now gone. It was difficult to live in the snow compared to the others, but at least you had HQM and abundance of stone that made it worth that risk and effort. Now it's just another generic biome that offers nothing special nor has any increased level of danger, making the "survival" aspect of Rust even more laughable.
So the sandbox gets restricted yet again with another key gameplay item removed. At this rate, by the time we hit V1.0, Rust will become a rail shooter vs an open world sandbox game.
FP are in over their heads! They should sell the project to a professional studio
I am highly displeased with the snow biome change, its pretty pointless to build in snow because its only ever a small area and why cripple yourself with harder conditions when people 20 seconds away don't have them.
I hope he did it just to piss you off personally, pherousa.
I mostly build in the snow biome, and I enjoy a good building challenge, so Im good with it.
