I was with a friend in my house when a couple of guys appeared outside, i opened the door to go check it out quick and when i tried to close the door right after it would not let us no matter how much we tried, ofcourse we died shortly after ;/
Any ideas if this is a bug?

Not sure if this is a bug but if you hold down e on a metal door it's state can't be changed from open to closed or vice versa.
If the server is having a big lag spike you can't interact with objects. Could have been what happened.
Other players are able to hold E in order to prevent you from closing the door. 99% of the chance that was the cause.
