Hiya guys I am a little disappointed they have done away with the vast expanses of snow...and just before Christmas too! There goes my Christmas village :( I may have to shed a tear, though i shall suck it back into my tear duct as the new rad-towns are so epic. Good job on those cannot wait to see them with the texture. Please oh please oh please add the snow back though.
Yes please, I want to make Santa's workshop of human meat product
Global warming...
Snow biomes are limited to mountains now.
From Devblog 89 Snow biome is restricted to mountain tops
Kinda bummed on this one. I have always thought of the biome's like a staging area. What I mean is, to me I always viewed the northern biome as a area where more skilled players would set up and fortify due to the extremities. A new player without protection wouldn't last very long. I had always hoped that Rust would use the biome's to create areas that were used based on a players skill set. Obviously, the desert didn't require much clothing so new players wouldn't have to worry to much. I don't know what I am trying to say really, it just seems like this shouldn't be the way it is now
Well the biggest cause of climate change is the nuclear radiation in the atmosphere so figures snow biomes at less than mountain top levels would have melted away.

I like this change in terms of realism, but there should be higher mountains with bigger snow areas and eventually plateaus to build. It should still be possible to build in the snow and to be surrounded by snow for the reasons mentioned by lordrushx1. And I'm so sorry about the OP....seriously facepunch GIVE HIM HIS CHRISTMAS BACK!!! THE CHRISTMAS HE WORKED FOR SO HARD!!!

In game when put to scale, they are actually just large hills. I would imagine that when the day comes that Rust has mountains as close to as scale as possible, that getting even halfway up the mountain would kill most people. Being able to cross a mountain buck naked should be literally impossible, and when someone claims they managed to cross it clothed and with lots of aid, it should still be hard to believe.
They should add seasons, where certain temperatures roll throughout the island, and precipitation in cold temperatures would make snow. This snow would make the whole island snowy. (In the future): ¨Hi I'm weatherman Argyle Alligator, coming to you with this weather report...¨
