Experimental Branch - Controller Support by third party program?

I have been using xpadder to map keys to a 360 controller to play on the current version of rust with no issues. I launched the experimental branch today and noticed that the keys are the same but all the binds to my controller do not work, only the mouse binds. I don't want to turn this thread into an argument on which is better or more precise to use, keyboard vs. controller. I prefer using the controller. I am wondering if they will allow the same controller support from a third party program like xpadder as once before? I also wanted to make sure I wasn't risking a VAC ban or something like that by running xpadder to re-bind my keys. I have played this way since the alpha release without a problem.
You won't get banned, that's for sure. As for xpadder compatibility... I don't know what would have changed between the production and exp branches. You might just want to try making a new xpadder profile for the exp branch to see if you get better results.
I have tried to rebind the keys to no avail. This could have something to do with the new EAC tool, but I am not entirely sure. I hope in the future that either xpadder could be a third party program whitelisted by the EAC tool or the devs add in some sort of controller support like I've seen on the trello.
Oh yea I hadn't thought about EAC. I would be surprised if that was affecting xpadder but I suppose it makes sense.
I'm using ps3 controller (with motionjoy and xpadder) in rust and i love it .
But yeah, xpadder is not working properly on experimental branch server...
I hope this will be fixed soon, or at least we can get full gamepad support :)
This game is awsome, keep up good work guys , greeetz
