Rust instacrash MAC - Rust - Facepunch Forum

Hi, I recently bought Rust to play with some friends. I'm the only one with a mac and can't even open the game. when i start it up on steam it crashed instantly. anything i can do to fix this issue? grtz Paradockx

What mac is it and what's your graphics card

Give the specs, I have been running rust on a MAC for a while now with few problems.

I to am looking for best settings for my mac. 2011 27" Imac 3.4 Core i7 (I7-2600) AMD Radeon HD 6970M graphics processor with 1 GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory Updated to SSD drives. Currently, I'm running with everything turned off and all graphics set to just above there lowest settings. Get 24FPS, Would like to know what I can turn on to get a little better visuals, what affect the system the most (what should I leave off) etc. :)

HOW LOW CAN YOU GO?

HOW LOW CAN YOU GO?[/QUOTE] Yes, I have upgrade the machine as much as I can putting in a hybrid 4t ssd/plater drive as secondary and a Nice 500GB SSD for the primary. Also the system has 16 GM ram. The Video card is also new, but still same specs as original (was replaced under a recall). I've been slowly turning stuff up and playing to see where I can go. Games running fine with Console telling me I'm getting 23fps. Seems better than that in game play. I do plan on building a dedicated gaming computer soon, just been researching the parts. Plan on going with Umbuntu OS.
