Because of these past two updates, we have seen a noticeable increase of lag. Especially during altercations within the game, this lag is quite the f**king annoyance. I have two questions about this issue:
1. Why is it happening all of a sudden?
2. When is it going to be f**king fixed?
I have 1,000 hours on the game and I am happily uninstalling it because I am tired of lagging and being mowed down upon doing so. Although the game is addicting, the lag is basically rehab. I'm done with the game. Please fix it.
Are you talking about the experimental branch, or the normal one with red animals?
Because the old version of Rust is no longer being updated. The experimental branch is a fresh start using the lessons and concepts developed in the old version. Read the devblog at playrust.com for a lot more info and weekly progress posts with screenshots.
The normal version that most people use. I tried the experimental and dev versions, but there seems to be no servers I am able to join.
There's only one experimental server at the moment, and it isn't always up. There's basically no reason to use the dev branch, because that's the old version's "bleeding edge" build, which is pretty much stale and dried up now.
Yep, just happened again. I was in a fire-fight and some kid spawns in front of me and blasts me with a shotgun.
I know that nobody cares, even though it happens to everyone, but I am never playing this game again until the lag is fixed. I hope one of the developers sees this thread.
The version you're complaining about isn't being updated anymore, for the second time. The devs actually do not care about it anymore as far as updates and patches go.
So, nobody cares. See you in several months.
Is this 'lag' the render lag that has been around for a long time? Are you fighting on a reasonably populated map and you're fighting right on the edge of one or more large buildings rendering. If you are, this could be causing your mad stutter.
