• Animals-- Anything changed since Legacy?

I have not played since Legacy... have they changed animals in any way besides updating how they look? Have they added ANY new animals or behaviors, like wolves and deer appearing in packs and herds, respectively. Or is it roughly the same as Legacy? On another note; I would like to see in the future things to do other than simply kill animals--- tame a deer and be able to take it back to your base, become friendly with a wolf so it doesn't always try to kill you, etc. Of course this is not the focus of Rust but it would be nice to see some other use for animals than just killing. I dont mean they add little pigeons and beavers to be your pets and follow you around but, I dont know, be able to make a deer "farm" by having deer reproduce and provide endless amounts of resources every time you slaughter a deer, add horses so you can ride (that definately needs to happen) and yeah.. just SOMETHING other than see-deer kill-deer.
The deers from this version are very hard to hunt in a lag-free server, and with a rock, hatchet or any melee weapon. They run as hell.. the animals are ok for me, i just vote for the rad-animals
As Fernando tried saying, animals in the main branch run very fast initially, but after a while they'll run out of energy and you will be able to catch them
... so thats all that has changed? .... sorry im not laughing, just choking.
They overhauled animal AI and graphics, among other things. Check playrust.com and read the dev blogs to catch up on recent changes.
