nobody has any help on this or suggestions on who to contact?
My guess is a combination of being a laptop and a dell running a 32bit version of Windows with only 6 gigs of ram. The unoptimized state of rust is too much for your machine. Just a guess though
run in DX9 rust.
cpu isn't great, and i don't see what gpu you have :/

Assuming Dell's website is right it has
Standard Intel® HD Graphics 3000
Optional AMD RadeonTM HD 6470M 512MB
Your available memory is only 3.36gb... I've read on other threads where the game is using 4+ often.
IT ran totally fine before update
Loading shaders and kicking you out point to GFX. Have you done as rampageous suggested, run in DX9 mode?
Try updating the GFX drivers.
The only thing I see of your specs that may be the cause is the somewhat low amount of RAM. AFAIK those all came with 64 Bit Windows, so you should be using the full 6GB, and Rusts memory usage doesn't really jump up until you load an actual map.
The problem is not your CPU. The problem is not that you have a Dell. The problem is not that you have a laptop.
DX11 could be the problem, your GPU drivers might just be broken in terms of DX11 support. Give DX9 a try, you might have to stick with that for now, or forever.
Upgrading your RAM is probably a good idea if you intend to keep using this PC for gaming. It's going to become increasingly difficult and troublesome to run modern games in 6GB. Hit and miss. You probably have a 4GB and a 2GB DIMM installed, replace the 2GB with an 8GB and you're golden.
But like I said above, I doubt that memory shortage is the cause of this particular issue, as it's failing before the really memory intensive stuff is happening.
As others said, Windows 32bit does not support all your memory so if you had removed half of your memory you wouldn't notice the difference.
Upgrade to 64bit system
Try setting more space for your page file. I was running low on RAM and disk space for the page file and kept getting thrown out.

Where does it say he has a 32 bit OS? It says:
System Type: x64-based PC
And further research backs this up. Those Inspirons came with 64 Bit Home Premium.
