I purchased this game so many months ago. Installed it. Didnt work.
I dont have very much free time in my hands, mostly in teh early hours of the morning when I should be sleep..
Anyways, since then I have tried so many solutions I found on google.
First, it wouldnt stay open when it loaded the server list. Somehow uninstalling and reinstalling fixed that.
Next it crashed as soon as I loaded a server. Dont know how I fixed that. It just stopping doing it.
The next was crashing while on server and asset warmup.... i searched google and found the solution, "type assetwarmup 0 and shaderwarmup 0" into the console..
I almost think im on to something..
Nope. FUcking game loads up and gets to ready for it crashes again..
bottom line..
I HAVE BOUGHT THIS POS GAME off STEAM for 15 bucks, and havent even got it to run ONE time. I grow tired of trying to solve the problems on the developers. I am a consumer. I shouldnt have to learn basic programming to make this shit work..
I dont want to hear that, 'well whats your specs" shit. My computer works very well. I take the highest care of my parts. Its not my system...
WHAT THE FUCK CAN I DO TO GET THIS WORKING, or who DO I TALK TOO TO BE REFUNDED.
The only thing that i can think is that its a problem with this WINDOWS 10... I fucking hate windows..

You might be able to get a refund from steam if your playtime is less than 2 hours (doesn't matter if you brought it months ago)
it does sound odd, I've certainly had none of the problems you just described. guru is right, system specs are handy
In my experience, psting specs never helps to solve anything. People just seem to like to admire if your equipment is better than theirs..

OS matters.
ramchip speed matters.
drivers matter.
for someone demanding help, you aren't being particularly forthcoming with information.
Just putting it out there, it sounds like it has a fit when you try and connect to something. Network related, firewall maybe?
is visual studio installed? direct x installed? drivers updated..... whatever the fuck the problem is figure it out cause it will work if you can figure it out.
Everything is updated. Direct X is updated. There is a firewall, but i assure you, I have the game bypassing it. The game is literally CRASHING when it goes to load. It cant be a problem with the network..
all my drivers are updated. I just got the graphic card not too long ago. trust me. theirs nothing to update on my end.
i do not have visual studio. also, i do not know why this is needed to make it work.. i do not feel like downloading additional tools out of the ordinary in order to make the game run.. if this is needed then i just need my money back.
dont put this all on me.. like i said.. i shouldn't have to become a novice programmer to make things work.

You don't need it, I am not sure why he even mentioned it. I have several versions of visual studio installed on my gaming rig, and it hasn't ever conflicted with Rust.
I assume you run other resource-intensive apps/games, and Rust is the only thing that behaves like this?
Maple Story used too, but that a problem with the display output. Rust is the only game that does this.

We're only trying to help you. I appreciate you're frustrated, but there's not need to be so hostile!
This isn't intended to be condescending, but as I'm sure you're aware pretty much every PC on the planet is unique. The rust game works on most people's machines so there MUST be something about your unique PC that is stopping it from working. Hardware and software spec information are essential to determining the problem.

you didn't give us enough detail about ANYTHING, and are getting frustrated that we CAN'T help you. if you want us to help you, maybe start with that rather than assuming we will just start comparing specs with you.
I would love to help, but can we get any info, like if the game outputs some sort of crash data?
