when i first started playing rust when it came out on steam, i had huge amount of fun, it was on of the greatest game i've ever played, and imagining what the game could become if it continued to develop further just blew the mind.
1.5 years have passed and what do we have now? a piece of shit. Not optimized, laggy, freezing piece of shit. a game where 90% of the time you have to either grind resources/blueprints or stay afk crafting. when in legacy almost always smth was happening. all you had to do is leave a house and walk around a little and most likely you would get into a gunfight. now you can run around with 200ppl online and not to see a living soul, because guess what? everyone just afk at home crafting. good job. and shooting is shit. you can't even see where you shot at because of ugly iron sights and lack of optics. oh and this new meta: just hide in bushes and you are invulnerable. but who cares, look, we added HORSES! raiding is a shit as well, just destroy twig block before logging out and win. or build at rock. and no need to tell me that everything is raidable. it may be so, but it either requires unfair amount of c4, or just too much pain in the ass. so fucking difficult to allow placing twig blocks in cupboard area? oh and pick axe raiding... good job here, a game for fucking rats, just wait for a night and win.
i understand that legacy code had to be rewrited, but why change all that what worked perfectly fine? the only things that is better in experimental is bulding system and procedural maps, everything else is a huge letdown. and what dissapoints even more is that you don't bother fixing all these problems, just add more unnecesary features that sometimes break the game even more. i think you don't even understand what is wrong with the game, because you don't play it.
i was tolerant for a long time in hope that it would get better, but it doesn't. i know that it will get downvoted, because most ppl who enjoyed legacy don't play anymore, and who didn't - will defend experimental anyway.

Ok. So what do you consider a fair amount of C4 required to steal someone else's stuff and ruin the game for them? I am sad to hear that ripping off other people's stuff and resources, thereby robbing them of the time they invested into getting them, is too much of a pain in the ass for you.
You're the problem with this game. Whining in Gary's ear that you want it to be easier to raid, that it's your god damn entitlement and it must be something you can do in half an hour.
Yeah you can raid, you can rip people off for the lols. But it's not the games job to make it easy, nor worth the time or resource investment. It's supposed to give people the chance to play how they want, and if raiding is as easy as building, enjoy playing on servers populated by handfuls of other people.
Without people willing to invest time and effort into building, this game is nothing. It's open world Call of Duty with bears.
