Request for adding a block Avatar's in game option.

I can't play this game with the Avatar's that are Showing Dirty Picture's and feel like myself and other's who have the same reaction to them are dealing with and was wondering if in a possible patch for RUST. If you could possibly add a feature that enables you to ( Disable Avatar's ) I'm hoping this request is taken serious as I love to play the game it's a great game with great idea's and I hope to see it go LIVE with the best possible outcome and player base it deserves.

I guess you refer to the steam avatars in chat? Would be nice if we could disable those.

EDIT: I have no problem with the tiny perverted pictures but it still would be good to have.

i don't think that there is any need for the avatar images, either in global or voice chat, but i'm not sure i can agree with your reasoning as to why it should be removed, tuks.

I don't think I've seen nudity as OP has described in a steam avatar in years.

This fix isn't going to happen because this isn't an issue whatsoever, especially in a game where character nudity in a common thing.

I don't care so much about how offensive pictures they are, but I wish there was an option to toggle them off because I find them distracting/clutter the screen. I'm sure mods will be out eventually to make chat smaller and remove the pictures though.

for once, i can control what i do with the game when kids are around.. mostly buidling or home work..
but i cannot control people avatars.. and i've seen some gruesome shiet.. literaly.. shiet.. widespread pussy lips.. hemorroids.. just to name some..

so I end up hiding chat completely.. wich limits my game experience to singleplayer gaming..

the inhability to mute people, and hide their avatars really is a turn down for parents like me..

Be a better parent and avoid playing games that have things like naked penis avatars and uncensored profile pictures. There are THOUSANDS of them. The world doesn't revolve around you.

Sounds like most of the people in this thread have no idea what it's like to have children.

The addition of an option to toggle avatars would take next to no time to code.

You could proxy your Rust connection and filter the avatar requests, but I'm unsure whether that would break the TOS, or aggravate EAC.

Lets hope the scrotes in this thread one day have a vagina to screw...and not one of the fake ones they probably bought off the internet ;)

the avatars don't come from rust gameserver.. its the steam connection and if i proxy it, steam wont work.

I agree with the OP there should be a way to disable steam avatars (at the steam level, not even the game level) if Steam cannot keep obscene and poor taste avatars out of their system.

Muting/ignoring players would be nice too. There are mods that do this, but it should be in the base game.

I wonder if there is a way to ignore players at the steam level?
