I am on a mac and I can no longer enjoy the game b/c of the new effects. For example, whenever I log on to a server bright spots fill up my screen. I am wondering if there is anyway to disable this.

This is bullshit. I don't use mac myself, but even if they're overpriced like hell, that doesn't mean that macs cannot have good hardware.

Of course it's like that. However, a PC isn't "better" just because it's not a mac.
