Hi guys, i started to play rust recently and when i exit it, i can't open apps or internet pages, even when i try to reboot it it stucks, and i have to force it, is there anyway of fixing this please? =S
Does anyone know if this was ever fixed? I saw a few threads mentioning possible solutions, but none seemed guaranteed to work given the feedback others were giving.
You know what...I've experienced this a lot recently as well. In fact, I didn't actually make the connection until I read this post. Gonna check this out when I get home, see if I can prove it's somehow related to Rust.

Good luck. Try the solutions in previous threads on the topic and report back. I went back to Legacy a few weeks ago, and I'm still waiting for the all clear to play again. I really CBA with a hard reset most times I play; sooner or later I'll lose work or kill my SSD.
Oh, it's most definatley a Rust thang....it can sometimes take 5 minutes after rust closes to be able to go anywhere on the net.
But i run the game normally...it only happens when i leave rust, so thats definitly a rust probleme! are DEVELOPERS aware of this??
Unity engine bug, it gets fixed when Unity devs feel like it gonna need fixing. Nothing we can do but cry now.. so yeah.

None of my other Unity games seem to be causing this issue. I also do some Unity development on the same PC, and I've had no issues there.
Hi, created my first account just to bring a little more attention to this issue.
[B]THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM:[/B]
Everything is fine [U]Until[/U] I've joined a server and "wake up". Shortly after that my [U]Internet Shuts Down[/U]. All else is fine, just the internet shutting down until i make a restart/reset on my router.
Such a mess started only today.
[B]CRUSHING OF HYPOTHESIS:[/B]
1. Yes, my [U]router[/U] may be senil, but it's more likely it simply has a grudge against Rust alone. More bandwidth intensive games are running just fine. More more massive server lists also won't cause my Internet to shut down in this manner.
2. Reboots, resets, validating, waiting, adjusting, different approaches getting the game to work and joining servers, etc. Some, such as validating, gives me a few seconds longer to stay in the game before internet shuts down.
3*. Yes, i have not yet tried fully uninstalling rust, and i have no intention to do so until the issue is absolutely clear/confirmed and an uninstall is mandatory in order to play the game.

i'm really worried about this cause it my damage my computer tho, is there any DEV answer to a post like this?
