• A few Suggestions for the Upcoming Vehicles!

I thought I'd collect some of my thoughts and suggestions for the future vehicles in Rust![/U][/B] Yes, the picture above is indeed a car I saw in Rust legacy. Though I'm not sure if this was modded or only available for admins. [U][B]Alright, let's get into it![/B][/U] [I](Click images to enlarge them)[/I] [B]1.[/B] [U]Garage Gates/Doors[/U] Of course you want to keep your vehicle save from all the raging nakeds so you'd need to be able to craft and build big garage doors. This should be a physical item to carry to your car and fill it up. This is an extra item you'd need to be able to repair your car. [B]7.[/B] [U]New traps: pile of nails and / or a wooden board with spikes[/U] This stuff should be pretty expensive to craft so the streets don't get spammed with them. [B]9.[/B] [U]Keys[/U] So you can lose your vehicle. [B]10.[/B] [U]Speed limitation[/U] Cars shouldn't be able to drive faster than 40 kmh (ca. 25 mph) in my opinion. Maps would seem too small and people could get anywhere whithin 1 or 2 minutes. [B]11.[/B] [U]Small trailer[/U] A small trailer (and I'm talking very small) so you can carry just a little bit more stuff. This would make you drive even slower. Obviously. (Not everywhere so people don't create own camouflage for their vehicles) [B]13.[/B] [I](Not very important)[/I] [U]Radio[/U] It would really be nice to have some new music in rust. Because your vehicle [U]will[/U] be expensive, and it [U]will[/U] take forever to build it. These should work well for the modular approach the devs are taking to vehicles--especially the armored sides. Also agree that our rolling junkyards have every reason to have limited speed. Not so sure about yet more damn keys. Gates could open out and to the side, so the allowed height is more flexible. According to the mind map, the vehicle system will also lead to siege weapons. (Maybe we'll see a vehicle chassis and a siege weapon chassis; while the vehicle chassis can be made into scrapyard vans and lorries and armored cars, the siege chassis could become a cannon, stack of gunpowder barrels, mortar, catapult, etc.) Maybe the weapons will be modular options for the vehicles--who knows.

All good suggestions but keep in mind the system needs to start simple before it can get full of stuff like this.

Made a post a few days ago with many of these suggestions as well, guess great minds think alike! I would love to see these implemented with the vehicles, and with the modular building, perhaps different parts as well, such as armored tires witch do well with mines/spikes but slow speed, or the choice between lots of armor at the cost of speed and/ or storage space.

But having some suggestions come in while they're working on it shouldn't be a bad thing. It's amazing how many of these I mentioned. :shock:
