Fell into an rock accidentally .Then ,banned by EAC .im not on purpose. Is anybody know how to solve this problem? (User was permabanned for this post ("cheater" - Orkel))
To solve EAC ban: Buy a new copy of Rust and do not cheat this time.
fell into a rock? that's a new one, well done. i doubt you fell into a rock, but maybe you tried to glitch into it? or used something that might allow you to walk through it?
I used to be cheating through rocks like you, but then I took an EAC in the knee. (User was banned for this post ("meme shit" - postal))
it was a little bit lag at that time. and if i used something ,i would been banned by VAC first
Wrong. EAC is active anticheat, vac is passive. You will get vac'd in next wave or after that. EAC does not ban for glitching or lag but for known cheat signatures.
Wrong. EAC is active anticheat, vac is passive. You will get vac'd in next wave or after that. EAC does not ban for glitching or lag but for known cheat signatures.
EAC is also being used to manually ban users.
Banned by eac accidentily because u thought ur cheats would be undetected?
Just for the record, "I fell into a rock/a rock node spawned on me and then I was banned" was one of the earliest excuses used when VAC support was first added.
Fell into an rock accidentally .Then ,banned by EAC .im not on purpose. Is anybody know how to solve this problem?
I saw they had problems with the new anti-cheat falsely banning people. It should have been fixed now though.
I saw they had problems with the new anti-cheat falsely banning people. It should have been fixed now though.
Where was that? Link, please. Because the one person I saw who was "falsely" banned by EAC and supposedly unbanned got immediately re-banned and it was proven they were family-sharing Rust with someone who was blatantly hacking, and EAC automatically tracks down the sharing owner and bans them when it bans someone family-sharing the game.
I don't remember where I saw it right now, I'll try to look for the link.
You're talking about that ryan guy i'm assuming? In his third banned thread (lol...) it was found that he was abusing the family share feature to hack with. He kept one account looking legit and used his other one to cheat. He didn't get his account back, and neither will this cheater.
I don't remember where I saw it right now, I'll try to look for the link.
I can't find it right now, but I remember seeing something about their anti-cheat detecting people that accidentally get through rocks or objects and they would get banned as they would be detected as a no-clipper. I'll post the link here if I hopefully come across it again. [editline]10th July 2015[/editline]
You're talking about that ryan guy i'm assuming? How prove it ? not possible.
Go buy aids at your closest corner (User was banned for this post ("Trolling" - Craptasket))
How prove it ? not possible.
A Facepunch developer linked the Steam ID of the banned family share account, since they have access to the EAC guys directly, and posted a screenshot of the guy's family-share hack alt flying. Caught in the act by the Rust devs.
EAC doesn't detect in game actions. It wouldn't see you falling through a rock nor would it care. EAC detects programs and hooks into the dlls, memory, network traffic and other resources. You got banned because it detected a cheat program. Your argument is akin to a cop finding a bag of weed on you and your defense is that you just "look" high. As said, EAC bans using cheat engine signatures, not on in game actions. And you don't get instantly banned from EAC. Like VAC, it bans in waves. It will detect your cheats and you're put in the ban queue and will be banned in the next wave. If you got EAC banned, it's because of something you did not at the time of the banning, but in the recent past. Either that or you shared your account with someone and they used a cheat that got your account banned. So if you want to play Rust again, buy it in another Steam account and don't run cheats or share your account.

Not sure where I just read this a couple hours ago but there's a new ban type in EAC where it comes from the dev of the game (ie: facepunch in this case) and it's purely based on the good will of the dev. In short, from what I understand, a facepunch employee acting as a moderator on an official forum seeing you blatantly hack could have you EAC banned. This could be automatically done through dev-made anti-cheat checks as well. I don't know how the new no-clipping checks work, but it could be that they issue an EAC ban when you are caught by the new code. I also would not assume that EAC bans are delayed like VAC bans, especially this new dev-requested EAC ban system. It's true that VAC does that, but I never heard of EAC being delayed and I can only assume that the new dev-ban gives the dev the choice to make a delayed or insta-ban depending on the severity of the detected offence.

I wonder why so many cheaters make a new account and lie as much as they can, hoping they will get unbanned. They could use the time going to work for an hour or two and buy a new copy, without paying for undetected hacks.
