Anyone knows if they will add mod support, so people can make their custom maps and weapons that they can put into the game?

If they support mods they will have to put up with little children complaining about compatibility and people making 'mods' that are actually hacks. And rust doesn't have a singleplayer mode which makes the situation worse.

It would be nice, but it'll be way down on the list of priorities.
There is a modding framework called Oxide, and while capable it doesn't as far as I know have the ability to drop in new Unity assets or maps. The maps would require a generator to be written also, and the algorithms used for generation are regularly being updated.

In fact I'm pretty sure I read a while back player-created maps is in the plans. Hapis Island was pretty much a proof-of-concept and I'm assuming they have their own in-house editor that they might polish and release in the future. I doubt it's high priority, but still.
As for the rest it would definitely be very nice to be able to create new entities, models, scale things, etc. Oxide is nice to change behaviors, but it doesn't allow much in terms of changing actual game assets other than texts and some properties.
