Exactly what constitutes "playing" the game? Garry said that they are randomly rewarded while playing.
Does this mean on any server? (Or only official/unmodded? What about a private dedicated server?)
Does this mean you can just AFK and wait for them?
Possible. This sounds like tf2 in the old days where everyone was sitting on afk servers waiting for drops.
well I can tell you that on modded servers you get it also, got the snowcamo jacket not long after the update - only played on modded.

It means on any server, official, modded and community(as for private not sure that wasnt asked), i know this because i said the same to a guy on Reddit and garry himself confirmed it.
