unfair and weard EAC - Rust

Hello... a from my server by mistake... imrunnign a server from Peru since Feb o March of 2015 ... 24/7 to help latins to pllay rust... i use security to avoid cheaters, but now appears this problem... my server ip is 190.236.101.226:28015 and its called "INKAserver" (modded server).... the player ID its 76561198015081727 . We were the only 2 online at that moment (nearly 5:30am GMT-05)... my ID is 76561197961451636 with more thatn 1500 games hours so im not a new one... with like 4 months administrating my server... my ISP its not the best so sometimes have lag or disconnection... and i think this time happend that way: it was laggy (because i make a ISP DNS PING constantly to see my latency) i was talking with that player...near that arc rock on the beachs and we were looking how to put an item.. lantern, sleeping bag, i moved away to search something and suddenly he was banned... i have tried to unban him in my server but seems not to be enought, so now depends on you... the is having an EAC ban unjustified and unfair for that player that need to be corrected please... maybe he was ducked (prone) near that beach Arc rock and when lag started the game standed up him and EAC thought was a cheat and BAN! That cheat should be more wise now game server its for everyoone who can create a server and sometimes lag will happend and weard things will happend... so BAN should not be Global and soulf be use to find cheats for a future Ended game... not to global ban an Under-development-game. He is clean on VAC and RustDB... he seem to be a fair player and i never saw any weard stuff on him.... Why would EAC be server-specific? Cheating is a permabannable offense and this should be well known. EAC won't ban you for having a bad ping. EAC will not ban you even for abusing the glitch to get inside rocks. EAC will ban you for running hacks. He can say what he wants, but EAC detects hacks automatically. Most cheaters are also liars.

Of course most cheaters are also liars... but would be a little bit sstupid hack when im talking friendly to him and we were close each other... in my humble oppinion not reason to use hack when we are just 2 ppl on the server just talking about other stuff.... Im not saying tha EAC bans you for having bad ping... but when you are laggy... you see something and the server sees other... that why im saying... the server maybe saws something that only occured becuase he was laggy....

As elix said, EAC(and VAC) do not ban for lag or client/server desync. It bans for cheat signatures and 3rd party code that gets injected into Rust memory. Eventually he will get banned by VAC too. He was cheating at some point and got banned for it. End of story.

i just know that when my server was lagging (my ISP fault) he was suddenly banned and i dont believe in coincidences, so that why i think was just latency/wrong_placed_character problem.

It flags that account and it will ban a whole group of users at once at a future point. He may have been flagged days prior. The fact that he got his ban as you had a server hiccup is nothing but coincidence, regardless of what you choose to believe.

I know your issue is apparently with EAC, but pretty much the same thing. Most people aren't trying to be rude, just that most of them know lag doesn't trigger either of the Anti Cheats in use.

[B]Because the anticheat cares about things altering RustClient.exe, [U]not[/U] rubberbanding on the server.[/B] Neither VAC nor EAC do anything to detect server burps.

Thats a bad notice elixwhitetail... becuase he is clean in RustDB and VAC... i just hope that as a server admin, not the banned person, i can help the players in all ways i can... becuase im hosting the game for altruistic purposes for latin gamers... i dont ask & dont receive donations. Thanks for the interest anyways...[/QUOTE] You need to understand something: EAC doesn't run on the server, EAC runs on the player's computer and can see everything the player is doing to Rust. If the player injects hacks into Rust, EAC sees it. If the server decides to teleport the player a mile into the air, EAC doesn't care because it's watching for the attacks on the actual program data in the player's system RAM. If a player and a rock have a physics glitch together and the player gets flung into space because of it, EAC is still not paying attention to the player's position in the server and is still watching the system's memory for tampering -- which is what hacks do. Neither RustDB or VAC are EAC. RustDB's community banlist is not an officially-supported anticheat and has already been abused by some admins, so, that doesn't count. And just because VAC didn't ban him doesn't mean he didn't cheat. EAC and VAC are independent and EAC doesn't have to wait until VAC hits them. His account is private, so I can't even check if he owns Rust. If he's family sharing it with someone else and they cheated, his account gets banned as well (otherwise people would be able to cheat by just making new accounts and family sharing to them). I hope your guy isn't cheating and it's a false positive, but the evidence is overwhelmingly against him. I've seen thousands and thousands of people come through this forum with the exact same story and not [U]one[/U] has come back to prove they've been unbanned and rub my face in it. And I've asked them. The EAC staff do read this forum and often do respond to requests for ban status. However, they don't catch every single one, and they do not monitor these forums constantly, so there may be a bit of a wait even if they do see this thread and respond. I can't promise a response from them because it's not up to me.

It really isn't worth fighting over Vrchaos, the guy cheated. It didn't have to be on your server, it could've been in a completely different server and it's still going to count. He broke the rules and there's no going back from that. Just give up on the guy and if he really cares about your server he'll buy a new copy and throw out the cheats so that he doesn't get removed again.

Im struggling to understand what the entire problem is. I mean, cmon English DO YOU SPEAK IT! (Joke... dont take it like a bad thing). In a more serious note, EAC and VAC are known to be good AntiCheats Systems. But we have to remember they are part of the evolving Technology and that Tech is always ment to fail. We don't work on EAC, we don't work on VAC, so please stop trying to figure out what happend. EAC must work this thing out, not us. We can't make a difference if the player cheated or not, we can't unban him, we can just Explain things and carry on. Yes, i know it is super annoying to reply to this kind of threads all the time.. but stop getting butthurt for making huge replies and then getting hate on it. A simple reply is: "Please, contact EAC/STEAM(VAC) and explain your problems, we can't help you with bans" DONE, NO MORE PROBLEMS :D Brief Explanation: We can't focus on stuff that can't be solved on this forum. kasuya14/Markeloffs Why do you need evidence ? You can't remember installing the loader and launching it when playing the game? That's some bad memory you have. OP has too much trust in players he doesn't know.
