• Suggestion for a better building and raiding experience

Hello, I didn't really know what title to choose to fit my suggestion but it comes close enough So first of all I want to say that it is extremely easy to raid houses atm wich results in people having to build the same boring houses everytime with tons of doors to be a bit defended. Now you may like this, but it sure isn't realistic to have 15-30 doors in a house to be somewhat protected. So i'll begin with the first thing, C4 should be harder to get, no I am not asking for more farming but C4 should require an item like the auto turrets that's only available through airdrops or the helicopter, if you know Hurtworld you know what I'm talking about. But then the problem is that raiding becomes extremely hard, so this is where my second suggestion comes into place; add a makeshift explosive charge. This charge should be around the same damage/resource count as the original C4, but only that the makeshift version is unable to break through armored walls or doors. "But armored doors are so easy to get so why would this help?". This is where my third suggestion comes into place; Make armored doors more expensive(something like armored walls) and make sheet doors a bit more durable so the makeshift version takes around the same amount as C4 now on armored doors. So what is my goal with these suggestions? Well most bases are stone anyway, so with the makeshift EC the raiding wouldn't be much harder in that way, but you can make a house look nicer but still be able to protect your goods by using the armored doors and walls as a kind of vault to put your loot in, so people will need C4 (wich is hard to get) to get into your loot rooms. And because armored is really expensive and pretty much only for the ones who gather alot - it would be balanced, atleast in my eyes if I didn't forget something So what do you think? Did I miss something? Please let me know what your idea of this could be !
I agree with making C4 harder to obtain. They have grenades, RPGS, beancan explosives, landmines, etc.. I don't think they need another makeshift C4.

I mean it's kind of weird to shoot a ton of rockets to raid

I just don't think big group raiders need another explosive to use to get thru stuff. The rockets cost lots to use and if you don't land the shot correctly you messed up big. It should be unhandy for the raider, it should not be a cakewalk like it is now.
adding unique raiding tools like a chainsaw, drill, torch, or a barrel bomb. Or seige tools that are sweet but require 2 or 3 players. Also balance the c4 and rockets so theyre not as primary and so then it shakes it up and adds to the raiding tier. Balance will progress as the game moves forward.

But if you make C4 so hard to get then houses with 15 doors will be basically unraidable..
But if you make C4 so hard to get then houses with 15 doors will be basically unraidable..
If you read carefully I said that armored doors will be as expensive as armored walls so you can't just have 15 of them considering you'll also need to make the doorway armored
why not just return to the "metal" blueprint system; that you have to find armoured part bp's to build armoured panels:)
why not just return to the "metal" blueprint system; that you have to find armoured part bp's to build armoured panels:)
How would this make raiding harder? :p
How would this make raiding harder? :p
it wouldn't specifically make raiding harder, it would just increase the rarity of armoured buildings, the same way metal building parts were in legacy. it just seems to me like there is pretty minimal effort to get the highest tier of building blocks. dunno, i'm just spitballing ;)
