Playing rust on my second account - http://steamcommunity.com/id/NickFromTelstraThatSickLad/ - Because my main account got hacked - http://steamcommunity.com/id/NickTelstraAlt - Before all this happened, I was playing on an emulator (Pokemon Leaf Green) and put on the program cheat engine. I was messing around with if I could configure Speed, Pokemon Spawn rates, and all that stuff. without corrupting my game. Then my friend asked me to play some rust with him. So playing rust, with my usual ping ranging from 30/50 - 100 - 700. Anti hack kept pushing me back (usual as the admin told us it happens.) so after about 3 hours of playing, I logged off to go sleep, (It was about 3 am) As before in up here, I stated I was playing an emulator with Cheat engine running. I know this doesn't sound legit, but I was banned from this the next day... Now I understand how I'm still 'cheating' But I never used it for Rust itself. And I don't mind if I cant play the game, It's just the game ban that worries me. But the fact of how when I try to load the game, it brings me to the store page because I was family sharing it. If I bought the game again, would the ban go away? or will it still stay. I don't care if you all think I'm lying. I'm being serious and asking for some support here. Thank you for your time reading this.
Okay, first, if you forgot to shut down Cheat Engine before playing Rust and it hooked into Rust when you were otherwise playing legit, you messed up and got yourself banned. If you did shut down Cheat Engine, then EAC didn't ban you for it just being installed, you got banned for something else - namely Rust cheats. Second, you will need a new Steam account and a new copy of Rust, because your Steam ID's in the list whether or not it was family shared. Hopefully, someone from EAC will be able to confirm if the ban was valid or not. I would, but I'm not a Rust or EAC dev and don't have access to the database, so I have no answers for you.

If you don't use your paid cheat on your new account, that account won't get banned.
