I click play in steam and pit opens configurations. I then hit "Play!" and it starts loading up and gets to main screen, but pops up says:
"The game crashed.
The crash report folder named "2016-01-08_212914" next to game executable.
It would be great if you sen it to the developer of the game!"
I have reinstalled, restarted and changed all of my settings. Verified my files, and run as administrator... nothing seems to work.
The Crash reports seem to indicate a access violation, but I can't find a fix for it.
HELP.

If you have an anti-virus running, try stopping it and/or uninstalling it and see if that helps.

Have you tried to restart your computer? If not, do that, if so right click Rust in steam > Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files and you'll see a folder called "EasyAntiCheat", Go into it and run the Setup. Uninstall it and reinstall it and then try restarting again.

Just diable AVG there is another thread about that EAC have contacted AVG. I think you could downgrade your AVG but personally I would just get rid of it. I use AVAST and so far so good.

i also crash about 5 secs after moving within the map
sometimes i get 'wake up' sometimes i don't
have tried reinstalling, all type of launch commands in proerties, nothing works,
