Hi all,
I've been running a small private server for a little while, recently wiped it to get a nice new map (seed 4750 size 3800). I am running a command line server on Windows 8.1 with Oxide, Whitelist, Infopanel and I was running Gathering Manager (removed it due to this bug, but it hasn't helped).
Loot seems to take a VERY long time to respawn. Like 4-5 in game days, maybe more. Before I wiped, you could hang around at a location and see the stuff literally re-spawn every 10 minutes or so, now there's no loot anywhere and its starting to spoil the game a little (because we already looted it of course).
Have I missed a setting somewhere? Didn't think there were any loot respawn timers to set to be honest.
Even the airdrops seem to be a bit shit.. but that could just be luck.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.
Is it a busy server ? if just a few play at any one time the spawns are slower in general
not at all, only 5 people every day. But we have noticed a significant difference between the loot spawn on this one compared to the last (still only 4-5 people).
[edit]
the only other change I could think of is that the last server had been left to default for the number of players (max 500), but this new one was set to 20 max. So I've just removed that and tested again, still very low loot respawn rate it seems.
Strange one, I'm fairly sure I'm not losing my mind!
[edit2]
actually, this may have fixed it, keeping an eye on it but there does seem to be more loot now.
Thanks for the response!
After testing on and off today, seems there is a certain limit for the amount of loot on the map. So if you stay in one place and loot locally, it will eventually dry up (on a quiet server anyway). Move around to different monuments and loot them well, the other areas respawn. If that makes sense.
