What do players prefer, simple servers or plots of plugins?

Hello all,
Recently started my own community with a handful of help and i wanted to ask the general players what they prefer on a modded server, lots of plugins with many features like teleport, home, anti hack and many many more (38 and counting) or a server with just the bare basic plugins which allow a little boost to game play.
Also wondering, from your point of view if you knew the server had the dedication to have their own team speak and forums would that make you feel as if it could be a good server?
If anyone is interested in having a look PM me and have a nice day, thank you :)
I'm a vanilla kind of guy. I I like high multiplier / instacraft servers to do test builds though.
I like some higher gather rates and /remove that is tied to clan/friends list so people can't remove your base.
Teleport is okay, but kind of takes away from the game.
Short night cycle or day voting is alright.
I think faster decay for twig is good if it's balanced so you can collect enough resources to upgrade in a shorter amount of time.
Active admins cleaning up the server is a plus. I hate seeing the ones full of abandoned bases everywhere and no place to build.
It really depends on the type of players you are wanting.
Do you want battleground, pve, clans, solo players, community groups, or a general mix of all of them?
I played on a server where the admin hid loot in random and obscure places. It encouraged exploring and some trade because he tweaked some of the really valuable stuff so it was nearly impossible to find.
Me and everyone i know play vanilla only. modded servers with increased gather rate, TP, and importing pictures, it feels like cheating. having that much ressource in little time remove all the challenge from the game and makes it incredibly boring. i cant even watch a raid video if its from a modded server. people waste rockets and c4 just like i do when im on a creative server with infinite ressource to test base designs.
that being said, i understand some people dont have much time to invest so they prefer modded servers cause they can get gear easier.
Vanilla guy. Only thing I would love to have on vanilla servers is importing pictures..
PS: The biggest bullshit of all times for me is TP and I will never understand why people play on servers where is TP allowed
vanilla. the only plugins i really appreciate are xGather mods for when i don't have much time to play and just wanna build something, or battlefield mods/xp mods for when i want to play a different kind of rust.

TP is enjoyable, it certainly changes the whole dynamic of the game and makes timing critical.
That and Rust.io really open up the map to travel.

My main problem is that modded servers have the stigma of having all these millions of plugins, so most players with a preference for vanilla stick to the main section.
I can imagine there's a market for 'near vanilla' servers, that have a few plugins that don't affect gameplay (Like better admin tools, anticheat plugins etc), or even very lightly enhanced gameplay in areas that people think could do with improving.
Vanilla
Vanilla, and that's the way my players like it too. Most of our players are of the older generation and believe that playing the game as Gary intended is the way.

Totally agree, This mod feature ruins the realism of the game for me. Teleporting works well in Star Trek however ;-) !

Too many players want everything now ! and yes it is a form of cheating in my eyes.
Vanilla.
All the gather and TP and remove make the game no challenge. Might as well just run yourself a server with admin and give yourself everything.
Plots of Plugins

Yet people play modded servers, and they would definitely complain is someone who wasn't an admin had admin powers.
Maybe having faster gather and craft, when everyone else does too, doesn't give you an advantage?
A couple plugins is good.
I'd like to see the main game roll in the Infobar (you have to craft tools first, to get compass, something else to get coords?) + and the web map (assuming this is plugin)
servers are starting to add autoclose doors which I don't like, but since I'm just starting+learning the gather boosts+instacraft are quite nice to get up to speed quickly.
trade is ok. TP I like but admit it kind of breaks tense situations.
Modded servers are fun for building, if you play solo, or just a few people who want to dick around.
Vanilla all the way
I would be very interested in trying a hardcore server where when you die you lose all sleeping bags, have to re-enter code locks codes, etc.
My hearth will be always if vanilla, any kind of easy plugin way is rediculous. Actually i prefer vanilla with procedural map, because you always need learn the terrain!!!
Vanilla + the plugin that kicks players with too high ping all the way.
I like it though when the admin does events etc. for people that like to do this in an arena or whatever. Just gotta be cautious with the rewards you're giving because people might cry about it.
