Just thought these would be a cool thing to add in, please admire my 43 hours in paint to make this image happen. #First post, hello FacePunch
Yes! This is awesome man! Both ideas are good. I don't really know why hand rails are that useful, but with the upcoming furniture and "design" updates it might be a good idea to add hand rails as well. (Maybe even for roofs where they don't add any cover, but helps you to not fall of the roof xD) L-walls: no. No L-walls. I just don't see the extra of them. If you don't want people jumping through your window you shouldn't place them on the first floor. Otherwise you should add reinforced window bars.

Making submenus like that would make it way slower and irritating in my opinion. The L-wall and the concave roof seem a bit pointless. The half floor would be useful though. A much more useful thing however would be the ability to mirror stair cases you can place them however you like. Another thing i'd find useful would be foundation steps that are sort of circular shaped and angle off in every direction for easier access.

As for the roofs and rails and L Wall, all decorations. I don't really like playing in PVP Servers, but I do sometimes, raiding isnt really an issue with me, and I see this game as a Comfy Survival Sim, and making a nice cozy home in the woods by a river seems pretty nice to me.
This is why some things were moved to the crafting menu, to expand on the options available. The "L" wall could be a craftable option for wall frames. Hand rails could be something added to the building wheel. I think resizable building blocks would be cool for foundations, floors, and walls.
