how many cores will be supported from the server.exe

Hi guys..

as on the thread title...
how many cores will be supported from the server it self?
curently our server is runing with 2 cores.
we have a battlefield server with over 100 players but the Performance is rly bad.
we got FPS drops from 400 to 15 or 250 to 5

does the server will be worked better with more cores?
whats the best server settings for the best performance?
