How are players supposed to test prerelease things, if even hitting while moving/crouching makes you crash to desktop. Hitting player corpses also makes you crash to menu. I realise that there were probably few topics like this, but they were quite there on top some time ago, not recently. Alright. Annother thing is, that my map which have loaded on London - Prerelease doesnt seem to fit the one that server have. In other words, buildings fly for me, trees looks like they are on some kind of mountain, but i on my screen see flat ground under them, and i'm rubberbanding up and back when trying to move anywhere. So yeah, testing this was a fun, part-time job. Hope it get funnier soon. You should have few crash reports in... your mailbox or something.
I don't know why people are rating this as dumb? Have you ever played on pre release? I know it's called pre release, so you have to deal with some unsolved bugs. But since the XP system was implemented there I wanted to play only on these pre release servers, since I hate the BP system. But since then (3 months ago) I only got 2 updates where I was able to play properly. All the other updates were causing Rust to crash. Then I went to the normal branche and there I was able to play properly again, but with the bad BP system. And especially the london prerelease looks really bad since 3 weeks ago. I hope this gets solved quick or otherwise the implementation of the XP system must come soon! I just can't wait to play with it properly! [editline]8th June 2016[/editline] While typing this I found the following statement:
Prerelease The team is still trucking along on the new XP system, pushing commits to the prerelease branch. Unfortunately, this branch appears to be pretty broken at the moment - client crashes happen when you try to do pretty much anything. The devs are aware of this issue and working on a fix, so expect a more stable build to go live shortly.
So I guess it will be playable soon:)
