Keeps disconnecting without loading me in to the server

I dont know if anyone else has this problem but whenever I try to join a server,it'll take approx.5-10 mins to get to the "Done" screen. Then after a few minutes of waiting it will disconnect me from the server. Please help. I just bought this and I dont want to get a refund for it.I use a Macbook if that helps.It's an old model with the latest software updates installed. I live in South East Asia,mainly Singapore,so I have to connect to Hong Kong servers
