EAC Banned from rust? - Rust

So i haven't been on rust for nearly 2 weeks. I have recently just fixed my computer and gotten it up and running again, I installed the new update for rust just before and tried playing on a server with a friend and it said i have been game banned? I checked steam and it said i was game banned 4 days ago, i don't understand how this is possible when I've been fixing my computer for the last 2 weeks so i haven't even been able to play. I read some steam forums and people have been getting reported as a false positive so i was wondering if that is what has happened here or if something has happened on my account with-in those 2 weeks of me being in-active. Any help would be grateful and hopefully i can get this ban removed because i really like the game and played it for awhile but i don't really want to pay another 25$ to play a game i have already brought once. Seeing as that was on the second of the month which was 9 days ago, but 5 before you claim the ban kicked in, were finding said hacks a major part of the 2 weeks you were getting your computer "fixed"?

Well that is weird then, i never used any cheats in game i was seeing what was out there and i couldn't be arsed paying for a hack, just would like a little clarification is all. Being banned for not yet comiting the offence is just a little weird in my opinion. I'm not gonna lie, the intentions were there but i never done it?

And i also said that the in game ban kicked in 4 days ago, look on my steam account it says it on there that is the only way i know that it kicked in 4 days ago....

Only pointing that out because "how can I hack if I don't have money for hacks?" is a frequently used excuse for whatever reason.

yea i just wanted to point it out since it's funny I'm not accusing you of anything either way, there's just nothing else to discuss until an EAC dev stops by. which could take a few days btw but you'll get your answer sooner or later tho.
