hi guys,
Has anyone got a R9 295x2 in there pc and has tried rust with it.
Some of the high end cards don't perform so well on rust due to optimization.
If you do have R9 295x2 what is max resolution rust can play the game at i heard it can only do 1440p is that correct?
Thanks again
Sandvich,

to be honest if you want to play AAA games at 4k res your gonna need 2, then again if you can afford a real 4k monitor and 295x2 then you can afford 2 so not a worry
That card is wayyyy overpriced.
I have a 7970 and the game runs fine if that helps.

2 x r295's? No way you need 2.

No, he should be able to play at 4k natively with just one of those. That is a dual r9 290 card, it's as if he has two Radeon R9 290s in his computer, which are pretty powerful cards on their own.
bf4 at 4k 2x msaa with a 295x2 is only 60fps... if you buy one for 4k your maxing the card out right away leaving no overhead for more intensive gaming down the road...
your going to need 2 ..
295x2 runs Rust at about 15 FPS, you need something faster.

...No, he is not. Rust is nowhere near as graphically-intense or hardware-intensive as BF4. Stop posting unless you actually know what you are taking about. Plus 60 FPS is way above playable, anything above 20 is for most people. Yes, rust has yet to be optimized, but when it is, it will be just fine at 4k with a 295x2

for anyone who does not know the r9 295x2 has 2 gpu in one card its not 2 cards its 1 and its priced at about 1500.
Do you know if rust even supports 4k res?

Not sure, but if not, it MAY be possible to force the resolution in a config file, but I would highly not recommend that, for obvious reasons.

yeh because vac may see modded game files and yeh that would end badly on a family sharing account with my brother.

Exactly, even though configs are usually completely safe to edit, I wouldn't recommend it still.

you can safely edit the configuration files.. thats what they are there for, to configure. the one thing i would worry about is that the UI doesnt scale properly iirc

It should be coming in the near future. So yeah, OP. Don't bother playing at native res if it doesn't work currently, but rest assured it will in future builds of the game.
