The realistic rust professional rust player 2015 method:
1. Farm blueprints til you get quarry and pump jack, resource charge(ETA 5 hrs)
2. need to Create base in temperate biome because it's best place for cloth and get 1750 fragments 500 cloth 10k wood(ETA 2-3 hrs)
3.Run to desert biome with supplies (RISKY 15 minutes)
4.Create compound in desert biome place pump jack, farm fuel til you have a few thousand, run back to temperate base with fuel RISKY (2-3 hrs)
5.Farm resources for new artic compound base(2-3 hrs)
6.Run to artic with supplies(RISKY 15 mins)
7.Create compound place quarry fill with fuel from desert biome compound(45 minutes)
8.Run back and forth between the map transferring fuel and metal to your main base in temperate biome for ever until the map wipes
9(OPTIONAL) farm for blueprints like Assault rifle and armor(5 hours)
Time total: go fuck yourself
The noobapproach:
1. Create whatever size base you want wherever you want
2. Run up to people and bow/ pipe shotgun them, this is all you will ever amount to
Time total: few hours
The noob clan approach:

2. Dick about in the snow looking for cloth to create fuel and fail
3. Freeze to death in base
Time total: 5 hours
I think you might be on to something. I do suspect that the developers might be trying to encourage trade by having different kind of resources different places.
Yeah
Game's harder when you're not cheating, ain't it? :weeb:
Remember, everyone, balance is an ongoing thing. The game is not balanced right now, the devs know it, and it's going to continue to change.
No shit Sherlock, the community is here to point out the obvious flaws in the game when we're frustrated and sick and tired of being manipulated. Your just here to defend bad developer practices
