Nobody can hear me in garrysmod. My mic works fine; the Steam tests work ok.
How do I fix?
Hold down the talk button?

Uhh, I do, the little avatar box appears, but nobody can hear me.
Not my ping either, 23 ping.
Does your mic work with other programs such as skype, would not be a bad idea to check the volume settings on your mic, just use the audio settings in windows, try talking in your mic and see if the audio levels change.
If it works fine elsewhere and seems its isolated to Steam, try checking the mic settings on steam, make sure you have the sending volume turned up, hit the "Test Microphone" button and see if it works.
Try other games like TF2 or CSS and see if it works. if it does, it should be working fine on garrysmod (Make sure you also checked the voice settings in Garrysmod).
You can also test your mic in garrysmod or any source game by enabling voice loop back (voice_loopback 1).
I can hear myself with voice_loopback, but nobody else can hear me. Also, Mac. I can hear myself with Steam's built-in mic test thingy.

Are you testing it on one server or Multiple? Because if one, It could be muting you.

The admins say they aren't.
go to options, voice, and look at your voice transmute volume, make sure it's not turned all the way down, the same thing happened to me the first time I got a mic, I just had to go to options, and do that.
Voice transmit volume is at max.
So have you tried a different server? If not do so.
Do you have vocal cords?
