Well i restarted my computer and then a popup would appear and Gmod would close saying no steam apps.
Any help would be appreciated thanks

However, Garry's Mod is broken right now. So even if you could start Garry's Mod it wouldn't work. Try restarting your computer again.

I'll just wait until it gets fixed and see if it works i'm patient.
If you downloaded some pirate shit like cracked HL2 or even Cracked Source SDK then you need to close it if it is on and restart your steam

Hl2 and Tf2 both work for me. Btw nothing is pirated.
I hate this error, I have it too. And tf2 won't work either. It says 'Steam Beta must be running to make use of find servers'. And steam IS running. I want to play Gmod NOW. (insert spoilt toddlers voice here)
