I have a problem. I try to use wheels and thrusters to make a car, but when i set the thrusters to a button on the keypad and wheels button to the keypad,it doesnt do anything..... Please help.
Wheels often don't do anything when you press a button unless you have a high torque.
Also check your settings in the tools, might be wrong somewhere.
What do you mean with button and keypad? The in-game or the keyboard ones?
The in-game ones.
When you make a car it's possibly not the best to bind different options to different keypads and other.
If you have a numpad on your keyboard do this:
Make your car with wheels and all (Not thrusters yet)
Add 2 thrusters with 1500 thrust on the back (Key 8)
Add 2 thrusters with 1500 thrust on the front (Key 2)
Add 1 thruster with 1000 thrust on the right side above the wheel (Key 4)
Add 1 thruster with 1000 thrust on the left side above the wheel (Key 6)
Let's see if that works

Oh now I realise what you are trying to do.
A keypad is a device where you write in a code, and if the code is correct, it goes to one numpad input (1-9)
You cannot control a car with just one keypad, and using 6 keypads is just messy.
Instead of that you can put a few buttons on a PHX brick and use that as a keypad (Buttons with the output 1-9, but on different buttons) and place them as if they were on a keypad.
The thing you are trying to make is advanced Expression 2 I think. First you wil need some basic knowledge about Garry's mod and it's tools.
Im not doing an E2 all im doing is puting wheels and thrusters on a plank to make a car but it doesnt work and thrusters never worked. idk y but they never did...
I can't find any guides how to make the car since it's simple common knowledge. Ask one of your friends to help you out with it. (If you search youtube, it's only Wiremod things)
Are you using normal thrusters or wire thrusters?
If you're using normal thrusters make sure that a] you have a numpad (I know it's obvious, but many people who play on laptops assume it means the normal number keys) and b] your numpad lock is turned on.
If you're using wire thrusters make sure they're wired up to the buttons properly. Although it doesn't sound like you're using wire thrusters - that would be super messy for a car.

If you got someone in knowledge about how to make this, you should ask him/her.
I learnt this from a simple Youtube video, but that video is more than 2 years old and there are more of them now, seeming it's impossible to find it again.
If you want the car to go forward, make wheels with the forward output 8 and backward 2
Then make two thrusters back (Make them so centered you can, but still abit away from eachother) output 8
Do the same on the front, output 2
Then make one on the left side of the car above the wheel, output 6
And one of the right side of the car above the wheel, output 4
The torque and thrust are things you decide, but always try to keep thrusters and everything else so much centered you can. If you don't, the car might even fly away since the thrusters lean too much against the ground.
Then make sure all the things you have put on the car is correct according to weight. If it slowly moves to one side or another, you have something causing the thruster to lean.
