It appears that when I download files in Garry's Mod (from servers), the files are not saving correctly.
It goes through the process each time I join a server, and then even once I get into the server the models and materials are errors.
This is not an error on the servers part, I've tested it on several well known servers and nobody else seems to be having the problem.
I just got a new PC running Windows 8 and have not been able to play on any of my favorite servers since. Is there a documented fix for this problem?
Maps seem to download just fine however.
Do you know if the servers that you join have FastDL?
Yes, they do. I joined several servers I know for a fact have it and had the same problem with all of them.
