I start Garys mod and it starts for like 10 seconds and then crashes. It displays a window that says "Engine Error" at the top. In the window it says "NO STEAM APPS!" I am not sure if it is saying I have no source games. I own TF2 and portal. Both games that have source engine. I am not sure what this means than? Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.

Neither my portal or TF2 are torrented so I don't know why I got the error.

Just want to point this out to people who don't know.
If you Garrys MOD stops working, there are three things you can try before a re-install.
1. Restart Steam.
2. Verify Integrity Of Game Cache
Right Click on "Garrys MOD" in games list > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity Of Game Cache
3. Defragment Game Cache
Right Click on "Garrys MOD" in games list > Properties > Local Files > Defragment Game Cache
That usually fixes most steam games failing to work for me.
