tl;dr: Does gmod have a bug reporting system?
I've just built myself a new computer, and loaded Garry's Mod and its dependencies onto it. I played TTT for a while, then went onto an old Sandbox server. I kept crashing there, with the ever mysterious "hl2.exe has stopped working" error. I have quite a few addons (CAP etc), and a graphics card, motherboard, and CPU similar to a friend's. He said he hasn't got as many problems as I'm having. Another friend's laptop is supposed to be worse, but he doesn't get many crashes. So it's a bit of a mystery to me what's causing the crash. The only thing I could think it is, is the hard drive, which is a 5400 RPM hard drive. Everywhere I've googled, it's just been mentioned that Garry's Mod is inherently crashy on some computers
Anyway, I didn't intend to make this post a bug report, but it seems to be going that way anyway.. I want to ask if there is any sort of bug reporting system? I thought it might help the development of Gmod if I reported the bug properly. Even though I have no clue how Gmod's development works. What logs matter? What do I post? Is there a formal system? Or do I just email Garry and hope that he might glance over it some day?
It seems to happen when I do something specific. Usually with CAP, sometimes with Toybox, and sometimes when I'm waiting for menu spawnicons to load. And sometimes when I'm just joining a server. (see edit at the bottom)
My stats:
Palit nVidia GTS 450 1024 MB (GDDR5)
Asus M4A78LT-M
AMD Phenom II X2 555
Western Digital WD3200BEVT (320GB hard drive, 5400 RPM) - 3 Partitions, Steam sits in the third. I defrag it whenever I do an Steam/SVN update.
1 x Corsair 4GB RAM (1333Hz) (Only 3.25 GB of this is accessable)
500W OCZ StealthXStream PSU
Windows 7 Home Premium, 32-bit.
My addons folder:

edit: By something specific, I mean when I spawn something, when I rename a ring base or a stargate, when I get a new weapon or entity out, when I use the menu system
Try running it without addons, see if it crashes

there isn't a bug reporting system
But you can upload the crashes to the dump site Garry made.
Its at dumps.garrysmod.com.
The dump folder should be in the steam folder.

Anyway: The dumps website and Facepunch are the bug reporting systems. Garry uses both to get bug reports, and usually nothing else.
Thanks, I'll keep that link in mind.
I solved the problem by reinstalling Gmod and Steam onto a different physical hard drive. This seems to make Gmod work faster, as the operating system doesn't interfere with Gmod's speed of searching for files.
Sorry for the bump. I know this will be useful for anyone linked from a search engine.
