title says it all.
For some reason or another, certian maps make my Garrysmod crash whenever I enter Sending client info, just before it gives me the message (It still says retrieving server info)
This happens on:
Tranqility
ttt_whitehouse_b2
I have no idea why this is happening, and these are the only two maps I have found that do this.
I am running Windows 7 64-bit, no service pack.
Furthermore, I have tried:
Cleaning GMod.
Verifying Caches
Updating Graphics Drivers
Bump for great justice!
Post a speccy screenshot.
A speccy screenshot? I see two meanings here.
1. My computer's specs.
These are:
Windows 7 x64, Ultimate.
AMD Athlon x64 3200+
GeForceGTS450 (BOTTLENECK YEAAAAH)
2 GB RAM
250 GB Harddrive, with free space.
2. Spectator.
How in god's name would I do that if I crash while loading?

Ok I downloaded that but it doesn't really tell you anything that I didn't just tell you in the first place.
It is most likely because of your old outdated single core CPU. Also can you post the console log?
This may sound simple, but have your tried "+r_hunkalloclightmaps 0". If not, just enter this in your console before loading the problem maps.
+r_hunkalloclightmaps 0 is for Evocity2, and I think I already tried that. I'll go check right now though.
Edit: Apparantly not. I'll go try it now.

Isn't that default now?

I haven't noticed to be honest. I had it set to default to this ages ago.
You could upgrade your RAM. I'm not sure. When you load a map that you think will crash you, open up Task Manager, and see how much memory is in use.
Your graphics card should be fine for most Source games. Your CPU has already been mentioned.. I agree with that one. What is the RPM of your hard drive?

Why the fuck would harddrive RPM matter.
Why the fuck would harddrive RPM matter.
The speed at which a map loads can be determined by how fast the hard drive can collect all files associated with it. If it loads too slowly, as I've seen on my laptop, it can crash. My laptop had a single 5400 RPM hard drive, and crashed on large maps, and maps with high quality textures, even when the texture quality was set to low in the settings. It also happened when I put that hard drive into my new computer, and until I transferred Gmod and Steam to a new hard drive.
All I was trying to do was associate this person's experience with experiences I've had in the past. I also have the same graphics card as he has.
It doesn't matter.
As i've said before.
Wouldn't there be some sort of an error message if the maps don't match up at all? Or is that just when versions aren't the same?

There would be if they don't match, but if they're corrupted it will just crash.
