My game server crashes and dumps anytime I try to start the server with sv_defaultgamemode "DarkRP", but it works fine if started from Sandbox, and then gamemode reloaded into DarkRP...

I've been troubleshooting this issue for weeks... disabling addons, etc. I can't find any connections, seems to be random. Any thoughts?

You need to get the latest version of DarkRP.
You also should try putting your sv_defaultgamemode "DarkRP" in the game.cfg file, not the server.cfg...
