When I try to upload my map through the cmd, I get a not responding message and then nothing happens. I make sure that everything is typed in correctly and that I have to correct .gma files and such.

When I press enter after typing the commands, the not responding window pops up, says that it stopped responding, then cmd brings me back to the beginning.

Maybe the tutorial is wrong? I followed it because it seemed quite simple plus this is my first time uploading a map.
That's odd. Can you try putting the word pause on a new line of your gmpublish script?

What do you mean? Sorry, I'm a new to this.
On your gmpublish .bat file, make a new line underneath the last line with the word "pause."
