Well, I know there are nearly thousands of these all throughout the internet, but none seem to help..
I have a host and it works on an on/off occasion thing.. Some people can download from it and some can not.
I've tried changing the FastDL directories, I've added a resource.addfile and more.
Then I see some people's FastDL's aren't working and some are, which sort of throws me off a bit.
Any help? Thanks. :)
Where is your resource.AddFile lines located? Is it possible to see how the file looks like?
It's located server side which is on my PC.. Under "lua/autorun/server/"
My friend said he could download the stuff in resource.AddFile but I'm worried that it will come off MY bandwith, and if it does I'll be f*cked.
I appreciate your reply man. Haven't really wanted to ask for help because of how stubborn I am with getting stuff done and learning by myself.
I don't really recommend hosting a server at home unless you really need to. It draws loads of electricity if you keep it on by night, slows down your internet (depending on your plan) and your computer.
How have you set up the connection/ftp server that the FastDL goes after?
And hosting a server still takes bandwidth, even though it's less using an external FastDL.
I know it takes bandwidth, but if the DL's were to also come off my own internet I would be more screwed than I am.
I need to host it off here for now due to me not having funds to purchase a VPS.
I have set up everything.
FastDL compression is borked atm.

You're taking compression as in Bzip2? None are compressed..
