I was wondering if anyone has any fixes to extremely slow gmod join times, Servers that have no content to download do the same.
Cpu: Q6600 Oc'd to 3.2ghz
HDD: 7200RPM WD Green 1tb
Ram: 4 gb ddr3
That all you need for specs i believe :)
Unmount unused games, uninstall unused addons, clean up your garrysmod directory from unused content/files.

Unsubscribed and then deleted 10gb of addons
Unmounted TF2
Cleaned a bit of out content
Loads to the menu 100 times quicker and im about to test server join times
10GB of addons is alot, so that is definitely the culprit in this situation.
Also, clean up the [B]download[/B] folder aswell, that folder contains all the files from the servers you've joined. Some of it belongs to server you might not play on again so that could help a bit aswell.
