Allrighty, so here's the deal:
Had SRCDS working perfectly fine for months now, but Steam kept updating with the same update and verified the cache of EVERY game upon start-up which took forever so I reinstalled Steam. Since then, SRCDS no longer works. I have already tried running the HLDSUpdaterTool and re downloading the dedicated server three times now to no success. Put a watchdog up, which just spams the window saying it crashed. My guess is that it is failing to start in general, as I am not getting a console window opening as I normally do, nor does it even have enough time to bring up the GUI to select the game, map, numplayers, etc.
Anyone have any ideas? Specs are irrellavent because all was well up until a day ago, so don't ask for them.
Quite the strange issue, but I've seen weirder.
Can I have a screenshot or a video? I don't quite grasp whats going on here.
Not much to record. I can spam click the hell outta my shortcut, resulting in immediate termination of the process. The process terminates before the GUI window for selecting map, name, passwords, and RCON even appears. The watchdog I triedjust spams the console saying it crashed and it is restarting.
Not that this is really needed, but here's the target:
C:\HL2Server\orangebox\srcds.exe +gamemode postnukerp
Ive tried it with the -console parameter as well to no avail.
I also went ahead and put in a steam ticket as well, since I couldn't really find any solutions online, with the most common suggestion was to just re-install, which I did 3 times into different directories just to be safe. When they get back to me I shall post what they say on here for anyone else.
I am still happy to hear suggestions if anyone has any.

For clarification...
Solutions tried:
Ran as admin
Ran under compatability mode for all OSes
Batch watchdog to restart (Just results in spammed console telling me it crashed)
Deleting and replacing installation record
Updating installation with HLDSUpdaterTool
Fresh install of SRCDS into new folders (x3)
Bump-bada-bump! Still no reply yet from Steam/Valve so any suggestions are still welcome.

I cannot stress this enough: I have [I][U][B]NEVER, EVER, EVER[/B][/U][/I] had to use the "-game garrysmod" parameter for the shortcut icon for SRCDS.exe Wow. Just wow.
Up and running again. Still haven't gotten a response from steam AT ALL. Oh the joys of having a reliable support team... NOT.
