Graphic Problem - Help - Facepunch Forum

Hello, I have a problem in my gmod...first of all,i use a laptop and a pc.. The problem is only in the laptop,the gmod on pc is very ok. I have also low fps.. while walking 10-15 fps and shooting - 5-9 fps. On pc are more than 40 fps. I did a lot of console commands like mat_specular 0 or 1 etc but useless. If do you need some specs tell me. Thanks !

The pictures look perfectly fine to me? What's wrong with them? Can you post a comparison pic from your PC, of how it is supposed to look like?

I dont have this problem only in the ttt minecraft map..The charaters are shiny..and others.

Either your laptop video card doesn't support some sort of feature or your video card control panel overrides some settings of GMod.

Laptop Video card > Nvidia Geforge 740M PC Video Card > Nvidia Geforge Asus 660 GTX

Make sure everything is OK in the video card control panel. I can't think of anything that would sharpen the textures or something. It's worth to look into the .vmts of those textures, but I am not going to do that.

I checked them,i changed the video settings from control panel from the laptop to be the same as the pc..i have now something like 23 fps now..but the same textures..and lag..while shooting 5 fps.

I assume your laptop has 2 video cars, make sure it uses the main one, not energy saving one.

Yea,you are right,but,the main one is the intel HD graphis 4000 idk why.. I changed something at Nvidia Control Panel at Manage 3D Settings then Global Settings and after that i changed to High-performance NVIDIA processor and i put everywhere to do the performance not the battery saving..idk if this change something. (This change was before installing gmod). If i need to do more to make the Nvidia the main video card,please tell me.

I can't really help you, I don't own an NVidia card, nor do I own dual video card laptop. Google is your best friend.
