So I'am trying to host a server so my brother and I can play on it, but he can't join my server. I've tried creating Hamachi server and the normal LAN server. I've turned firewall off, port forwarded, router's firewall off, nothing is working! Any ideas?

How do you host it? From Garry's Mod itself, Source Dedicated Server tool from the Steam Library or SRCDS?

Since you're on LAN, have you tried connecting via the internal ip address by console? The internal IP address will be 192.168.X.X where X can vary
Yes, It ain't working. The server doesn't even show up in the Local Games list.
You don't need port forwards for local servers. You only need to disable all firewalls. Your antivirus might have firewall too.
I have disabled ALL firewalls. The windows's one and antivirus one.
Try downloading Evolve [url]https://www.evolvehq.com/welcome[/url] and install it then create a party add your brother into the the party too same goes to your brother he have to install to hope it helps :)
Okay, Evolve looks pretty cool, so I hope it works, going to report back after my bro comes back. Still open to any suggestions.
Open up a Command Prompt, write "ipconfig" and press enter.
Tell your brother to write "connect IPv4-Address" into his console. Replace the IPv4-Address with the one your Command Prompt gives. Should be something like 192.168.X.X
As I said before, It's not working.
Well then your firewall is not letting him through. There is nothing else that can cause this.
I have AVG firewall and the normal windows one. I have disabled both. I assure you. I can host any other game easily but not gmod.

Nope, still nothing. He can't connect.
Did you connect correctly? Because its the only solution to play together he can't connect did you go to setting and put it garry's mod?

Make sure your brother computer download evolve too and add him as friend then create a group in the group go to option/setting find the game you want to connect it then when he's in the group/party means he's connected to your computer then start garry's mod then invite him to your game through steam

Did everything you said, nothing. He still can't connect. Im pretty desperate :(
What would evolve do? It has nothing to do with connection.
